"Retreat is an extraordinary opportunity, where all of your attention is turned toward liberation, freedom and truth. It is a rare privilege to be able to withdraw for a period of time, to be in a place of beauty, to be well fed, to have the attention on
the truth of who you really are."
- Gangaji

We had a fabulous time in Hawaii! The weather was perfect, the space was gorgeous, the food was excellent and the bodywork was brilliant!

Testimonials from Hawaii - '08:

---The retreat at Kalani was a chance to gently push my body to see where I could go with my yoga practice. It was exhilarating to go further every day. The instruction was wonderful and I loved how the room where we practiced allowed us to experience the change in light and sounds of nature morning and evening. Every day felt like another day in paradise, which naturally included delicious food in a lovely open-air dining area. - M. W. , Portland, OR.
--- Excellent Instruction! You both have unique and different strengths. - S. T. Seattle, WA.
--- Great Location! The food was excellent, the staff was helpful, and so many offerings at Kalani and in the area! The level of classes was great for me. I love the attention and skill, knowledge of both Patrick and Robyn. They put so much time into their teaching. They were clear and precise and gave great instruction to everyone there. I was grateful for all I absorbed. Thanks! - J. R. , Everett, WA.
--- I loved the retreat. The accomodations were nice, the food good. Loved the fruit! Room was great, location fabulous! I would return here as there is so much to see and do and learn. My needs in the classes were perfectly met. You two are wonderful as a couple and as teachers! I couldn't have been happier with the quality of instruction. Thank you both. - S.C., Middletown, OH.
---I loved the yoga room, the food, the beautiful setting, and the bodywork offered. I loved the level of the classes. I always felt that I was given a good variation for my level. - L. J. Arcata, CA.

Reviews from Costa Rica 2007 retreat:

This week just should be longer! Being in this amazingly beautiful place doing yoga has been a bliss. Robyn and Patrick you really inspire me to go deeper into my practice. With your true devotion to me/your students and swet personalities, fantastic adjustments and authentic flute playing, it all gives such meaning. I will be the first to sign up for a new retreat! I wish this week had been two. The problem with your yoga teaching is that it's highly addictive and that I live in Denmark!
Thank you so much for arranging this fabuous week!
- Trine, Denmark, Copenhagen

This retreat really brought so much joy and really did open my heart, mind, spirit and love to others and the great world around. Thanks for opening my heart and giving me such a deep and loving experience that I will have for the rest of my life. Thanks to you both, the yoga was awe-inspiring, so heart-opening and such deep and loving hands guiding me. Thank-you for all the positive energy, Robyn and Patrick! Can't wait to share more!
- J. Ricaldie, Seattle, WA.

I found this week to be enlightening, inspiring, and empowering. I felt like I was surrounded by love, support and encouragement. The week was everything I'd hoped for and more. Thanks so much!
- D. Smith, Arcata, CA.

I thought class was great. It was all at the right level for me. I worked hard but never strained. I also really appreciated the meditation time. Patrick was a great helper and the flute was wonderful! I felt transported to the ghats in India. Thank-You!
- Kai, Trinidad, CA

Robyn Smith creates a safe and protected physical and psychological environment in which to do yoga. Her twice-daily yoga classes allowed me to improve my yoga skills, learn new positions, and achieve great calm. I loved the individual attention and the incredible beauty and calm of the yoga room!
