Sound Healing bowls

with Shemaia Skywater

Thursdays, April 23 – May 14: 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
This mini series immersion will explore the depth and power that sound can offer as a means of expanding our yoga practices. Sound can rewire the nervous system, balance the chakras, harmonize the body-mind-spirit and expand states of consciousness.
Experience and learn how to develop and use the amazing tool of your voice, better understand the energetic and mechanistic use of your voice, and find greater vocal freedom. (No voice training required). Includes asana, vocal practices, and sound healing practices with different sound tools each week.

Every class includes:

  • Alignment based-heart opening rajasic (active) and sattvic (passive) asana (yoga poses) for all levels
  • Vocal practices: toning, bij mantras, mantras, vocal ‘asanas’ and even…..singing!
  • Nada yoga practices – ‘union through sound’, sacred sound within and without
  • Therapeutics of sound and yoga
  • The additional use of different sound tools each week: therapeutic quality Himalayan metal singing bowls-bells and tingshas, crystal bowls, gong, precision tuning forks, didj, drum & percussion, conch
    shell and more.
