This Advanced Yoga Teacher Training Course is specifically designed for those who are ready to deepen their knowledge base, teach with more authenticity, expand their repertoire, and increase their efficacy in offering yoga as a vehicle for positive personal and planetary transformation. Open to yoga teachers from all disciplines with six months or more teaching experience (or by permission). Yoga Alliance RYT’s with a 200-hour certification will be eligible for the RYT-500 level certificate upon successful completion of the program.

Liz Heffernan, owner of Soma Yoga Institute and ERYT-500, is an international yoga teacher and Integrative Yoga Therapist (CYT-1000). She draws from over two decades of personal yoga practice, 20 years of teaching and extensive training in the Hatha yoga systems of Kripalu, Ashtanga and Anusara. She currently directs and leads yoga teacher trainings and workshops in worldwide locations, provides unique one-to-one mentoring for yoga teachers wishing to improve their skills and delivery, instructs daily yoga classes and offers private therapeutic sessions. Robyn Smith, E-RTY 500, owner of Inner Freedom Yoga, is a certified Anusara yoga instructor, Hendricks Big Leap Life Coach, Integrative Yoga Therapist and Hanna Somatic Educator (Somatics). She has been teaching yoga for over 20 years, leading teacher trainings since 2005, and helping people in pain through Yoga Therapy and Somatics privates and workshops since 1998. She has co-taught two yoga therapy trainings in Arcata, as well as advanced mini teacher trainings and Immersions. She studied extensively with Anusara’s founder, John Friend, from 2001 – 2012, as well as numerous other top instructors in Iyengar and Anusara Yoga. She’s sought for her expertise in postural alignment and therapeutics, as well as the heartfelt messages and the playful spirit she brings to her classes. Peggy Profant, E-RYT 500, and Certified Anusara Yoga Teacher, is on a lifelong path of yoga and taking its insightful teachings into all areas of her life. She first discovered the practice in 1980 and began teaching it to others in 1997. Ashtanga, Iyengar and Anusara are the schools in which have influenced her practice. As one who lives courageously from her heart, she passionately teaches her classes with meaningful yogic themes while keeping a keen attention to alignment. In addition to yoga, being in nature and with her family is where she finds her deepest joy and peace.
